Church of the Savior continues to provide livestream access to our Saturday worship service. If the livestream is unavailable, the service is being recorded and will be posted at the earliest possible time. The recording can be accessed using the same link as the live service.

Attending In-Person

Masks
Following current CDC and state guidelines: Masks will be optional in our services and gatherings (unless, of course, you have symptoms). This means that some of us will be wearing masks and some of us will not be.

  • Although the CDC considers children at lower risk, since there is not yet a vaccine for 2-5-year-olds, our nursery and children's workers will still mask while serving

  • During the Passing of the Peace and after the service, "If you see a mask, please ask" whether the person you're greeting would feel comfortable with a handshake or hug.

Capacity
Following state guidelines, we are offering full capacity. So you will not need to sign up to attend.

Children’s Ministry
Nursery is available for children from 6 months through 4 years. Children’s Worship is available for children from Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Those children start in the service with their families; proceed to Children’s Worship during the Gloria; and are picked up by their parents at the Passing of the Peace. Children are also always welcome to remain in the worship service. Coloring pages will be provided, and our Fireside Room will be open for people who want to spread out during the service.

When & Where
We meet on Saturdays at 5:00pm at Pleasant Hill Community Church on Geneva Road (26W401 Geneva Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187).

WHAT TO EXPECt During the Service

Worship at Savior combines the friendly informality you might expect from a church that meets on Saturday evening with the grace and beauty of Christian prayers and practices that date back hundreds of years (from the Book of Common Prayer).

Dress is casual

Clergy and Communion ministers do, however, wear robes, a practice from the ancient church.

Our music is eclectic

On any given week, we may sing

  • classic hymns,

  • contemporary worship music,

  • gospel songs,

  • spirituals,

  • global worship songs,

  • songs from the Taizé community in France,

  • and original compositions from folks within our family of churches.

Services usually last 90 minutes

From 5:00 to 6:30pm.

Families at Savior

At Savior we seek to help people of all ages worship God by encountering God's story through song, Scripture and time alone with God.

Before returning to share Communion with their families, children are welcome to go to the following during the service.

Nursery

We offer nursery for babies and toddlers up through age 4. And you are always welcome to keep your child with you in worship!

Children's Ministry

During the opening songs, a leader carrying a banner guides children to their worship rooms. We have two Children's Worship rooms: one for younger children, from age 4 through 1st grade, and one for older children, from 2nd through 5th grade

Youth Ministry

We also have a worship room and regular meeting for youth in 6th through 12th grade.

Interested in Membership?

Twice a year, Church of the Savior hosts a Welcome Dessert, which gives you a chance to meet the staff and other newer folks, and a Welcome Seminar, which explains a bit about Anglican Christianity and how to get involved at Savior. Together, the dessert and seminar prepare you to join Savior. Check the calendar for upcoming dates. You can also access information about Anglicanism and becoming a member of Church of the Savior below.
